CMC Events and Announcements

The Church Office will be closed on Friday, August 8th. The Baileys are going to the beach for the weekend!

Are you interested in joining a Small Group?  Or just want to find out about what Small Groups and how they function at CMC?   The Small Group Committee will host a Small Group information meeting on Sunday, October 6, during the Potluck.   Get your food and then come to Room 109 and we’ll eat and talk together.   There will be an opportunity to form new small groups at that meeting, and we’ll have information about which small groups have openings for new members.

A benefit concert to support Jay and Sheri Hartzler's ongoing ministry in Romania will be held on Sunday, August 11, at 4 p.m. at Park View Mennonite Church. Jay will direct a choir of former EMHS touring choir members and he and Sheri will share stories of their work in Romania.  If you can't attend
the concert but would like to support the Hartzler's ministry, checks can be written to Community Mennonite Church and marked Hartzler-Romania.

CMC seniors upcoming homemade ice cream social: Friday evening, August 16 at 6:30 p.m. at CMC fellowship hall.  We will enjoy "Texas Rook" (promise it will be enjoyable) and then homemade ice cream with toppings and sides.  Bring finger foods or toppings if you do not have an ice cream freezer.  If you have a freezer and can make ice cream let me know. (Joan Kauffman: kykauffmans@yahoo.com)  Mark your calendars.
