Sunday School

For children ages 2 years old through high school, Sunday school meets for an hour after the worship service (10:30 until 11:30) each Sunday morning from September through May.  We follow the Shine: Living in God's Light curriculum, published jointly by Brethren Press and MennoMedia, for classes age 2 through 8th grade.

High School students use a variety of resources for instruction. Children engage in singing, Bible stories, memory work and other activities as they learn about God’s love and Christ’s message of healing and hope.

To volunteer to teach Sunday school, please contact the Sunday School superintendent. CMC follows Safe Church practices, and all Sunday school teachers are required to be approved adults.

If you have any questions about Sunday school or other children's activities, please contact the Youth Commission Chair at youthcommission@cmcva.org
