Shifting Climates

This class will focus on climate change and creation care, listen to the voices of impacted people, and discern our calling to care for the planet. Discussions will center around the Shifting Climates podcast, produced by EMU grads. Topics explored include impacts and solutions; eco-anxiety; climate justice; Anabaptist environmental ethics; youth perspectives; congregational responses; voices of conservative churches, and more. Come ready to share and learn (young and old alike, as our MYFers will be in the mix, too!).

Class resources can be found at Sustainable Climate Solutions.

The Power—And Danger—Of A Single Thought

How do the stories we tell ourselves about the circumstances of our lives create hope—or suffering—for ourselves? In this class, Andrea Wenger, certified life coach, will share insights and tools for developing awareness around the power of our thinking. It might be a helpful class if you are in the midst of a life transition, considering a change, feeling stuck or "blah", or curious about words like "mindfulness" and "mind-body" awareness. You may want to bring a journal.
