First Families
Community Mennonite Church Worship Series
October – November 2017
This fall, our CMC worship series will follow the story of the first families in scripture, reflecting on what their stories tell us about God’s presence in our world and in our families. We’ll reflect on the many different – often messy and imperfect – kinds of family relationships God has blessed and used for good, and the ways we are invited to join in God’s preposterous promises of blessing for the whole of creation. CMC children’s Sunday school classes will focus on these same Bible stories, creating opportunities for cross-generational conversations about family and faith. During our worship services, CMCers will share stories of their own experiences of God’s presence in their relationships with family, both biological and chosen.
